One of the great advantages of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series is that it has managed to convey in texture and polygons the dynamism and the spectacularity of the clashes between ninja that we have learned on the pages of the manga of Naruto first and then in the anime.

It seems trivial, but in the last seven years the team of CyberConnect2 has succeeded where many would have failed: take a brand loved by millions of fans around the world and propose it again in videogame sauce without distorting, or worse trivializing, rivalries, situations and characters excellently developed by master Masashi Kishimoto.

In this sense, the series has always followed the original work slavishly re-proposing the most iconic fights and the pivotal events of Naruto’s history, so as to avoid at the same time everything that Kishimoto himself did not consider part of the official universe of Naruto,

such as most of the movies arrived in Japanese theaters in recent years. With Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 we relived in person the latest events of the manga

with the bloody Fourth War of the Ninja, but the epilogue has projected us a little further on following the movie The Last: Naruto The Movie. Now, to close the circle, CyberConnect 2 and Bandai Namco have decided to take leave from the blonde ninja of the Leaf Village with a last DLC entirely focused on the young son of the seventh Hokage, entitled Road to Boruto.

CyberConnect2 ends the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series with the Road to Boruto expansion

RASENGAN!

For those who are fasting events that have affected the Naruto saga, Road to Boruto represents the videogame debut of the new course of the narrative universe created by Masashi Kishimoto.

The master mangaka has in fact completed the story of Naruto with the conclusion of the narrative arc of the Fourth War of the Ninja, which was followed by the two films The Last: Naruto

The Movie and Boruto: Naruto The Movie to lead the adventures successive of the ninja of the Leaf Village. Similarly, with the closing of Naruto came the news from Bandai Namco of the disposal of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, with the developers who took the ball to leave their audience with an expansion that went too to represent a sort of connection between what has been Naruto so far and the future that will come.

The expansion Road to Boruto – which necessarily requires the original title – then resumes the events of the film Boruto: Naruto the Movie putting us in the role of the young ninja son of Narutoengaged in the training sessions that will bring him together with his teammates Sarada and Mitsuki to take the Chunin selection exam.

Everything is normal, until a new couple of powerful enemies belonging to the Clan Otsutsuki enters the scene and from there they will start a series of fights and changes of locations that will see Sasuke,

Naruto and Boruto himself saving the fate again. of the Village of the Leaf and of the whole world. If, on the one hand, as we said at the beginning, follow the manga to the letter was one of the great strengths of the series Ultimate Ninja Storm, when you have to do with a feature film from just over ninety minutes the situation becomes more complex , inevitably restricting the raw material from which developers could draw.

The stylistic number in fact remains that of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 with dynamic, fluid and spectacular fights, enhanced by animations, explosions and first-rate particles that fully transmit the power of the most devastating blows and jutsu.
